The Minister of Planning, Investment and International Cooperation of the Government of Jubaland, Abdirahmaan Abdi Ahmed, held a high-level meeting with representatives from the Finland-Somalia Network, a consortium of organizations implementing development projects across Somalia.
During the meeting, comprehensive briefings were presented on ongoing development initiatives carried out in Somalia, particularly within Jubaland State. Discussions focused on strengthening institutional cooperation and enhancing formal partnerships between the Government of Jubaland and member organizations of the network to accelerate development efforts.
The Minister commended the Network for its strong commitment to implementing priority development programs in Somalia, especially in Jubaland, and encouraged the organizations to further scale up their interventions. He also provided an overview of ongoing projects and highlighted various investment and development opportunities available within the region. The Government of Jubaland reaffirmed its readiness to facilitate and support all partners willing to contribute investment, expertise, and innovative ideas toward the country’s development.
The meeting concluded positively with a mutual understanding to expedite development initiatives and reinforce collaborative engagement moving forward.
Minister Cabdirahmaan Abdi Ahmed will continue his stay in Helsinki, Finland, where he is scheduled to hold further meetings with key stakeholders involved in Somalia’s development agenda.
