ARDAA (Sharing Ideas – Empowering People) has announced the organization of a public forum focusing on Jubbaland and strategic approaches to adapting to global climate change. The event forms part of ongoing efforts to raise public awareness and encourage inclusive dialogue on climate-related challenges and development planning.
The forum will feature Abdirahman Abdi Ahmed, the Minister of Planning, Investment and International Cooperation of the Jubbaland State, as the guest speaker. The minister is expected to outline Jubbaland’s strategic plans for climate change adaptation, highlight policy priorities, and discuss opportunities for cooperation with national and international partners.
The event aims to provide an open platform for discussion on the impacts of climate change on development, planning, and community livelihoods. Participants will engage in dialogue on practical responses to climate challenges, with particular attention to sustainable development, resilience-building, and long-term planning in Jubbaland.
The public forum is scheduled to take place on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., at the Ministry of Planning headquarters. ARDAA has invited members of the public, civil society organizations, youth groups, professionals, and development stakeholders to attend and actively participate in the discussion.
According to ARDAA, the forum is part of its broader mission to promote public engagement, knowledge sharing, and community empowerment by creating spaces for constructive dialogue on critical national and global issues.
