The President of Jubaland State, H.E. Ahmed Mohamed Islam, held a high-level motivational meeting with Special Operations officers serving under the United States Africa Command (AFRICOM) who are operating in Jubaland.
During the meeting, the President expressed his sincere appreciation for the strong security partnership, particularly in the areas of training, counter-terrorism operations, and tactical support against extremist groups. He highlighted the vital role AFRICOM forces played in recent operations that successfully weakened Khawarij elements across several areas of Jubaland.

President Ahmed Mohamed Islam praised the officers for their professionalism, bravery, and close cooperation with Jubaland security forces. In recognition of their contribution, he officially presented them with Medals of Honor and Certificates of Appreciation, acknowledging their significant support to the overall security and stability of Jubaland.
The President reaffirmed Jubaland’s commitment to strengthening international security cooperation in order to maintain peace and protect civilians from terrorist threats.
