Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud on Sunday received the credentials of Djibouti’s newly appointed ambassador to Somalia, Colonel Osman Dubbad Sugulle, at the presidential palace in Mogadishu. Mohamud congratulated the envoy on his appointment and stressed the importance of strengthening the longstanding ties between Somalia and Djibouti, including cooperation in politics, security and economic affairs, according to a statement from the presidency.The new ambassador conveyed greetings and a message from Djiboutian President Ismaïl Omar Guelleh and thanked Somali authorities for the warm reception.Sugulle also outlined plans to deepen diplomatic relations and expand cooperation between the two neighbouring Horn of Africa nations, the statement said.
